The popular funding site Kickstarter, which has enabled such female-positive comic themed projects as The History of the Universe as told by Wonder and Womanthology, is now home to another female comic themed project.

Tired of the cheesy super hero films put forth by Hollywood, Richard Poche is turning to comic book fans for funding of his fan film.

Wow, I’m tired of cheesy super hero films too! So what’s this one about?

“Batgirl: Vampire Nights” begins when Robin falls into the clutches of a vicious vampire gang. Batgirl and Catwoman forge an uneasy alliance as they try to take down the coven of vampires. The short promises to have plenty of horror, film noir and satire of the world’s hottest super heroines.

“Hottest heroines” gee that doesn’t sound cheezy … sleazy is more like it. And the plot with Robin caught by vampires? They are paying tribute to Stephanie Brown, because this is who is playing Robin.
